Are these wood dash kits a replacement for my vehicle's dashboard or does it just stick on my existing dashboard?

Our vast selection of wood dash kits are not meant to replace any vehicle's dashboard. These dash kits are either flat or molded overlays, which adhere on your existing dashboard surface using special 3M automotive double sided adhesive foam tape. The flat wood dash kit pieces are about 1/8th of an inch thick or up to 1/12th of an inch thick with the polyurethane and the 3M double side backing foam tape.

What do you mean by "Flat Wood Dash Kit"?

Flat wood dash kits or 2D [ 2 dimensional ] dash kits are designed to be installed on flat surfaces or slightly curved areas of your existing dash. Click here to see an installed flat wood dash kit.

What do you mean by "Molded Wood Dash Kit"?

Molded wood dash kits or 3D [ 3 dimensional ] dash kits are designed to fully cover each dash part of your vehicle's dashboard giving you a more original look and feel. Click here to see an installed flat wood dash kit.

Are these wood dash kits made out of Real Wood, Vinyl or Plastic?

Almost all of our dash kits are available in real wood, real carbon fiber and a choice of 14 synthetic materials. Both our real wood dash kits and real carbon fiber dash kits are made out of real materials and our synthetic dash kits are made out of simulated materials.

How well do these dash kits fit?

All of our dash kits are precisely custom cut to fit each vehicle make and model.

I really don't need or want all the trim pieces shown in the diagram. Can I buy only a few pieces or do I have to buy the whole dash kit?

Yes, you may buy only a few trim pieces from any complete dash kit. For best results we do recommend purchasing the complete dash kit especially when it comes to dash kits made out of real wood. Single trim pieces prices vary anywhere from $20 to $60.

I have existing factory wood, how do I know which color wood grain to choose?

On the product page of our site you are given the option to choose the "Factory Match" wood grain color. If 2 or more "Factory Match" colors are available simply choose the one which matches your existing factory wood.

I have the factory symbols/labels around the air vents and radio area. If I install a dash kit how will I still be able to see these important symbols?

Unlike many other dash kit manufacturers or brands, our dash kits will always have the factory symbols printed on trim piece in order to keep you vehicle's interior looking original.
